Adriana Padilla-Caban, 23, was behind the wheel of a Kia SUV when she veered to the left and hit a tree on the westbound side near milepost 19.2 in Allamuchy around 10:40 a.m., NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told Daily Voice.

Padilla-Caban, of Scranton, PA, as well as a 4-, 3-, and 1-year-old suffered “moderate” injuries, Marchan said. Meanwhile, a 3-month-old was seriously injured.

Two of three left lanes were closed for several hours as authorities investigated the crash, prompting delays of up to 50 minutes, according to 511NJ.

The crash remained under investigation, Marchan said. Additional details were not released.
